Biography

Skye Naslund has a BA in Geography and International Relations from SUNY Geneseo and an MA and PhD in Geography from the University of Washington. As a critical health geographer, her research explores geographic imaginaries of health, spatial patterns of health and healthcare, disease ecology, and how health knowledge is produced, circulated, and applied.

Naslund also works with students in the Community Engaged Learning Lab to explore spatial questions related to health in the greater 91社区 community.  Currently, she has projects underway looking at the uneven effects of pharmacy closures and at railway safety in Broome and Tioga counties.
