Thanksgiving Break
Thanksgiving break is from November 26 - November 30. There is no fee associated with this break. While the residence halls are closed for the break, those wishing to remain on campus must sign up by 4pm on November 25th. For more information, please visit the Thanksgiving Break page.
Fall 2025 Room Change Process
Space on campus remains tight with many students still in Super Occupied Housing (SOH). As a result, we are still not able to open the room change process on lower campus (Hinman, Mountainview, College in the Woods, Dickinson, or Newing). Students looking to make a one to one room swap may do so with the agreement of all parties involved by emailing their Area Office. The Apartments Community Room Change Process is now open, please view the Room Change website for more information including eligibility requirements.
Spring Housing Process
This process is ONLY for newly admitted Spring 2026 students and current students returning from semester abroad programs and/or leave.
Students returning from fall study abroad programs or leave must contact Residential Life to be made eligible for this process.
Students currently living on campus for the Fall 2025 semester DO NOT participate in this process.
New first year students
- Are required to live on campus and are guaranteed housing.
- Are not eligible to live in the Apartments Community.
New Transfer students and students returning from study abroad/leave
- Are not required to live on campus and are not guaranteed housing.
- May live in the Apartments Community or the traditional lower campus residence halls as space permits.
Detailed information can be found on the Spring 2026 Housing web page.
Petition to be released from the University Housing Agreement
This process is for residents who are signed up for on-campus housing and are petitioning to be released from the University Housing Agreement.
Generally speaking, petitions to be released from the University Housing Agreement are denied unless they fit into one of three categories below:
- Not going to be enrolled as a 91社区 student for the fall semester.
- Significant and unanticipated change in financial circumstances that occurred following room selection.
- Newly diagnosed or exacerbated medical conditions that cannot be addressed through housing accommodations.
See this web page for more information.
