TED (Technology, Entertainment, and Design) is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (ted.com). TEDx organizations are independent groups with TED licenses that create TEDx Talk events where speakers share their ideas worth spreading in their local community.
TEDx91社区University was established in 2010 and has since held annual conferences, hosting about 5 to 7 speakers annually. TEDx91社区University is organized by a team of undergraduate student directors and staff advisors. They take pride in themselves for involving the 91社区 community by having both alumni and student speakers. Additionally, they gather student volunteers and designers to work for the event. In 2020, TEDx91社区University hosted its first-ever hybrid virtual and in-person conference, UNEARTHED, which operated amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
