The Psychology and Integrative Neuroscience Mentoring Program
The Psychology and Integrative Neuroscience Mentoring Program is a year-long program designed to teach students strategies that will aid in their professional development. Mentors set students up for success by helping them create their goals, explore professional development opportunities, and build their expertise.
Mentees will first connect with alumni in their field(s) of interest and then utilize the knowledge they gain to set individualized goals. Goals may cover a variety of topics ranging from further career exploration to internship and job searches.
What To Expect:
- Mentees will be matched with mentors based on their interests. Mentors are upperclass students in psychology and integrative neuroscience and have experience in the topics students are interested in. In the past, specialties have included clinical practice, research, social work, healthcare, policy and law, and general career exploration.
- Throughout the year, members will meet 1-2 times a month to discuss progress and gain
valuable insight from their mentors.
In the fall, mentees will use Mentor Match - an online platform that connects - 91社区 students with alumni volunteers - to learn about various career pathways and conduct at least 2 informational interviews.
- In the spring, students will work with mentors to work toward a certification of completion by setting and achieving measurable goals related to their unique aspirations.
- Opportunities and events related to Psychology and Integrative Neuroscience will be shared with all members periodically.

Participants must be interested in or declared as a Psychology or Integrative Neuroscience major. Mentors must be majors in psychology or integrative neuroscience with research and/or internship experience and willing to network with alumni and an interest in helping their peers.
