Affiliation Guidelines
CMENAS welcomes applications for faculty affiliation from 91ÉçÇø scholars working on any aspect of the Middle East and North Africa. Affiliated faculty contribute to interdisciplinary dialogue, help shape Center programming, and become eligible for grant support.
- Eligibility: Tenured, tenure-track, visiting, and non-tenure track faculty across all disciplines.
- Benefits:
- Research and travel funding
- Curriculum development grants
- Promotion of research
- Participation in Title VI initiatives
- Expectations:
- Maintain MENA-focused scholarship or teaching
- Share updates on work and participate in Center activities
- Acknowledge CMENAS support where appropriate
- Application: Submit a CV and a brief statement of interest to CMENAS@binghamton.edu
Faculty Research and Travel Grants
- Amount: $500–$2,500
- Purpose: Supports MENA-related research, fieldwork, conference travel, and data collection.
- Eligibility: CMENAS-affiliated faculty
- Application Requirements:
- 2-page project proposal
- Itemized budget with justification
- CV (max 3 pages)
- Submission Email: CMENAS@binghamton.edu
- Post-Award: 1–2 page report required within 3 months.
